Steph Cullum joins 2TH Dental Practice

Meet our newHygienist & Therapist, Stephanie Cullum, who joined us in the New Year. Stephanie has always worked in dentistry, first as a dental nurse, then moving on to study for her Diploma in Dental Hygiene and Therapy at Sheffield University. Outside of work Stephanie enjoys badminton and swimming and has just discovered boxercise, but has very little time for herself with two young girls to look after.

Care Quality Commission give excellent Report to 2TH

In December we were visited by the Care Quality Commission for their routine assessment of the practice on Cross-Infection and Patient Care.
The inspector was very happy with our policies for ensuring that your health and well being were met with the highest of standards.
Most of this is carried out behind the scenes in our sterilisation room, where recently we have invested in a new pouch sealing machine which ensures that sterilised instruments are kept at their optimum cleanliness and further reduces the risk of cross infection.
To ensure that we are constantly updating our systems the team will be attending a course on cross infection in May.
Thanks to all the patients who spoke to the inspector and gave their personal views on the patient experience at 2TH.

Patient Education at 2TH Dental Practice

Some of you will have already seen some of the GURU patient education presentations. Feedback has been veryencouraging and it’s particular strengths are the very clear visual messages that help to explain dental problems and their treatments.
